The Dinner Theatre
Two Broadway legends. One dinner theatre in Moncton New Brunswick. A show that was never supposed to matter — until it did. When faded leading man Liam Mitchell finds himself starring opposite the woman he let go twenty-five years ago, an emergency cast replacement turns into an unexpected reckoning. Confined to a cramped dressing room between scenes of Fiddler on the Roof, with a stage manager who has a plan for everything (including, apparently, love), old wounds reopen backstage — and a story meant to unfold behind the curtain becomes bigger than the show itself. Featuring a soaring original score of ballads and showstoppers, The Dinner Theatre is a bittersweet, funny, and deeply human story about second acts — on stage and off.
Written by Canadian recording artist Rick Worrall, who also stars as Liam Mitchell, this world premiere production will be produced by The Creative House, directed by Angela Quinn with music direction by Neville Bowman. Kelowna favourite Gwen Plitt returns to the stage as Sarah Rogers, with soprano supreme Carmen Harris as the whirlwind stage manager Cheryl holding it all together. Don’t miss the world premiere of a musical about the moments that happen when the applause fades and the mirror doesn’t lie.

There’s something fitting about a Christmas show rooted in the mountains finding its way back to the Okanagan. A Rocky Mountain High Christmas returns to Kelowna for a special matinee performance on Saturday, November 14, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. — one afternoon, one stage, and the music that has moved audiences to their feet from coast to coast.
Fresh off sold-out performances across Canada, this beloved concert event comes home to where it all began. Kelowna’s own Rick Worrall, the creator and producer behind the show, takes the stage alongside his brother Steve Worrall with special guests Delphine Litke, Chad Abrahamson and Glen Rosa Middle School Choir, backed by a hand-picked Canadian all-star band and a symphony ensemble that brings the full, sweeping sound of the arrangements to life.
What sets A Rocky Mountain High Christmas apart is what it doesn’t do. It doesn’t impersonate. It doesn’t imitate. Instead, it honours the enduring spirit of John Denver — his warmth, his wonder, and his uncanny ability to make a song feel like home — through live performance and heartfelt storytelling. The show’s lush orchestrations come courtesy of Lee Holdridge, Denver’s long-time friend and Emmy Award-winning conductor, lending the evening an authenticity that no tribute act can replicate.
The result is a matinee that feels less like a concert and more like a gathering — of family, of memory, and of the kind of music that doesn’t age.
For Okanagan audiences, this performance carries a little extra meaning. This is where the dream took root. And this November, it comes back home — just in time for the season.
